By the Forces of Gravity Pre-Order Perk: Get a Signed, Limited-Edition Print

To kick off the pre-order launch of Rebecca Fish Ewan’s By the Forces of Gravity: A Memoir, we’re doing something very special, and something very-Rebecca!

We’ve asked this talented author and cartoonist to create a special print, inspired by her book’s cover, characters, and story, and we absolutely love what she came up with. The half-sheet-size, cardstock print features best friends Luna & Starfish, and a cosmic quote! (Which reads, infinitely because it loops back to the beginning:  …. How to Get One

There are two ways to snag a print.

First, we’re launching this promotion on site at AWP in Tampa March 7, 2018, — or, the annual gathering of The Association of Writers and Writing Programs — where we’ll be exhibiting and also where Rebecca will be doing a reading and a panel. Here, at our Book Fair table (T544) you also can pre-order your copy of By the Forces of Gravity and have author & illustrator Rebecca Fish Ewan sign one for you and, perhaps, personalize it with extra doodles. At AWP, you can either have Rebecca sign it personally at one of her signings, or we’ll have extra pre-signed and numbered copies available available in case you miss her appearance(s). You’ll take home your print that day, and receive your book in the mail after its release date of June 19.

Second, if you’re not going to be at AWP, starting the day of the conference, you can also pre-order online  — here, at the Books by Hippocampus website ONLY — and receive your signed and numbered print by mail by late March. Books will ship after the June 19 release date, but you’ll have the print to keep you company until then! We’ll have at least 25 reserved for online ordering to ensure those not attending AWP can get one! (Note: Online orders through our website can only be shipped to U.S.; if you need international shipping, please contact us at books[at]hippocampusmagazine[dot]com to work out alternative arrangements.)

Due to limited quantities, only one available per person, either in person or online. (Example: If you pre-order two books, you will still get ONE print.)

Get One While You Can

These prints are limited-edition items! We’re printing 200 of them, and 125 will be available for the pre-order promotion, with 25 of those 125 are earmarked specifically for online orders; after AWP, any remainders will be available online until they’re gone. (The final 75 are reserved for some special book launch events happening in June 2018.)
